On Wednesday, April 23rd at approximately 16:15 hours Shippensburg units were dispatched to the intersection of Baltimore and Shippensburg Roads for a brush fire. Little did anyone know that this would grow to almost 2,500 acres worth of fire. On Thursday, April 24th at 13:16 hours Brush 12 would be dispatched to assist. Tanker 12 would follow at 14:20 hours. For the next 8.5 hours the brush and tanker would assist with water supply, fire extinguishment, structural protection, and providing manpower where and when needed.
